About Home Sleep Studies

CPAP Network specialises in providing Home Based Diagnostic Sleep Studies, which are fully Medicare Bulk-billed for eligible patients. Hence no out of pocket expenses for you!

Instead of spending a night in a hospital-based or sleep clinic environment, we can undertake a full diagnostic sleep study in the comfort, privacy, and convenience of your own home. Home sleep tests also avoid the potentially long hospital waiting lists, and are proven clinically to be an accurate diagnostic tool for the screening of sleep apnoea.

Apart from the convenience, doing an in-home sleep study means a ‘typical’ night’s sleep is recorded – which makes the sleep physician’s diagnosis more accurate. Your local GP can use the home sleep test referral form located at the bottom of this page.

A Home Sleep Study Test is reasonably straightforward. You will need to make an appointment to visit one of our CPAP Network outlets to be set up with the device in the late afternoon, and you are required to wear it throughout the night. In the morning, the device is returned to the testing location. The results are then analysed and reviewed by a qualified Australian-based sleep scientist and sleep physician who will provide diagnosis and treatment recommendations. The sleep report is sent to your local GP, normally within 10 working days.

If you are suffering from sleepiness or any of the symptoms associated with obstructive sleep apnoea, speak to your GP or Specialist about a referral for a CPAP Network Home Sleep Study. Print the attached CPAP Network Home Sleep Study Referral Form and take to your GP or Specialist to discuss your eligibility for a FREE Home Sleep Study.
